VERY EARLY SMOKE DETECTION APPARATUS

V.E.S.D.A. "Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus" is currently one of the world's most sensitive commercially available smoke detector, capable of detecting smoke at concentrations as low as 0.01% obscuration per metre.

V.E.S.D.A. is ideally suited to protect areas which are mechanically ventilated with high airflows and containing electronic equipment. The small amount of PVC vapour, overheating insulation or smoke produced at the incipient stages of an electrical fire can be detected by the high sensitivity of V.E.S.D.A.

VOICE ALARM & PUBLIC ADDRESS

In an emergency situation it is essential that warning devices transmit clear and concise information and that response is appropriate to the event. Where conventional bells/sounders are utilised, it is necessary for the persons present to be fully aware that the warning is relevant and be totally familiar with that sound. Where transient public are present e.g. shopping malls etc., warning by voice transmission has proved more effective and reduces panic and confusion, and consequently saves lives. Advance Specialist Maintenance Ltd have developed a fully integrated fire/voice alarm system by utilising their expertise allied with well proven public address equipment. The systems are designed to meet all requirements of BS 5839.

FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS

Advance Specialist Maintenance Ltd design fixed extinguishing systems employing FM200, CO2 dry powder foam. All systems are supported by computer aided design.

We offer a complete package capability, from system design to supply, installation, testing and commissioning.

The installed system can be tested for its efficiency without the need for releasing the extinguishing agent, by a special technique of pressurising the protected area and measuring "specific leakage". This allows a calculation to be made given the known parameters of the extinguishing agent.
